Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University is a large, modern and digitalized hospital. At present, the Hospital has three campuses and one base for education, research and development. The Nanhu Campus is located in Sanhao Street, Heping District and the Huaxiang Campus is situated in Huaxiang Road, Tiexi District of Shenyang city in Liaoning Province, with a total land area of 130,000 square meters and a gross floor area of 540,000 square meters. The Shenbei Campus which lies in Puhe Street, Shenyang North New Area has a land area of 235,000 square meters. The Base for Medical and Pharmaceutical Research and Education of Shengjing Hospital lies in Benxi High-tech Zone known as "China Medicine Capital" and it occupies a total land area of 625,800 square meters. In 2014, “SHENGJING HOSPITAL” succeeded in application for the “Famous Trademark of China”, and became the first general hospital in China that owns the Chinese famous trademark.

Innovation

As a national "Model Hospital of Digitalization", Shengjing Hospital has played a leading role in hospital digitalization. Now, all the clinical departments of the hospital use electronic medical records. A digitalized medical service model has been formed which is characterized by the clinical application of electronic medical record, clinical pathway management, outpatient electronic medical record and appointment registration system, patient information integration, digitalized quality nursing and management, medical service management and quality control, digitalized management of regional medical service collaboration, comprehensive information inquiry of hospital operation, hospital office automation and application of wireless network. In 2013, the Hospital became one of the four hospitals that first passed level 4 (currently the highest in China) of Standardization Maturity Evaluation of Hospital Information Connectivity by the Health Statistical Information Center of National Health and Family Planning Commission. This means the good continuity of hospital information, high standardization of data, and smooth connectivity with the external information. In addition, in 2014, the Hospital became the only "Dual Seven Level" hospital in China that reached level 7 of EMR System Application Capacity Grading by the Hospital Management Institute of National Health and Family Planning Commission and level 7 (the highest) of EMR Application Evaluation by the American organization HIMSS, indicating that the information construction of our hospital has been leading this country and has reached the advanced international standard. In 2017, the Hospital became the first hospital to pass the seven-level re-evaluation in Greater China Region 

The hospital carried out many quality management projects of medical service, which has closely linked the information construction with the medical service management and formed a self-feedback management model which internally “takes staff as the core and human resource management as the axis” and externally “takes the patient as the core and electronic medical record as the axis”.

The self-feedback management system is an outcome of the functional construction of hospital information platform and delicacy management. With the improvement of management thinking and the continuous perfection of information platform, many business management and medical processes formed a closed loop in the medical management and hospital management, realizing the direct exchange of information between the users and information system, which improved the accuracy and effectiveness of the information exchange and reduced the management cost. The administrators are responsible for formulating the management rules and the closed-loop flow and embed them in the information platform. The self-feedback management system may actively feedback the defects and deficiencies, and the users can improve and manage their own behavior according to the feedback results. The PDCA mode thus takes shape following such a circle. With the self-feedback management system, the quality and safety of medical service, the behavior and norms of doctors, and the management and development of the hospital all will present a benign rise in spirals. 

The Hospital’s logistics service guarantee and management realized intelligence. Guided by the idea of information integration in the whole hospital, taking the safe operation management, improving service quality and increasing personnel efficiency as the core, and by means of informatization, the Hospital realized the automatic monitoring equipment operation data, real-time recording, real-time alarm and real-time feedback. Through the platform data analysis, the shortcomings could be discovered, bugs could be fixed and efficiency could be improved. The simplified and standard procedures by using the network services, and the introduction of social specialized maintenance service company make the logistics management standardized, normalized, refined and scientific with limited labor costs. In the end, combined with a series of Internet of Things interactive technology, artificial intelligence analysis technology and data mining technology, the Hospital built a leading medical industry and an intelligent logistic system with Shengjing characteristics to provide more secure, high quality, high efficiency and low consumption security services for medical, teaching and scientific research work.
